Yesterday was a big day for me.

1. It was my birthday – hello 65! I still feel like I am 29. :-)

2. The grandkiddies, my daughter, Kelly and SIL came and will be staying for a week.

3. The annual 4th of July celebration on the lake I live on was last night with fireworks over the lake. It was a little early, but they like to celebrate before the 4th instead of after. We can see them perfectly from our house so we had a party to celebrate it all.

With the way July 4th falls within the week, we will celebrate again on Thursday. If you live in the USA, I hope you have an enjoyable day celebrating our country’s independence.

IMPORTANT NOTE: A few weeks ago I wrote that I would be changing how the links in my Style Scouting posts open when you click on them after hearing from many readers who prefer they open in the same window when reading my post on a phone.

Since then, I have heard from more readers who prefer the opposite way -that the link opens in a new tab.

To make everyone happy:

In each item I share, the link within the sentence will open in new tab. If you prefer reading where the link opens in the same tab. Click the link at the end of each item that is in parentheses like this: (open in same tab).

    Happy birthday!

You are wonderful for figuring out how to make everyone happy with the links. I read your Sunday posts on my laptop, so I love that I can open the links in new tabs. Thank you!

  2. I too appreciate your offering of two types of tab opening. Thank you for that extra work. I read on a computer and I enjoy keeping the tabs open to refer back to what you pointed out as interesting and even to refer back to later in the day or week, such as the recipes for meal planning. Thanks

  3. Happy birthday! My husband and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary on the 29th!
Love the umbrella table idea. I think a wider base would help keep the table from toppling when the umbrella is open and it’s a bit breezy. Very clever.
We like mint juleps and ice tea. Never thought to combine the two and what better (and easier) way to enjoy is to make a pitcher of them.
Roasted asparagus is the only way I prepare it. Delicious!
The red, white, and blue cake looks so fun.
I discovered the DND function on my phone recently and use it daily. Helps keep me focused and relaxed.
I just remember and practice the 3-3-3 technique.
Thank you for your Sunday posts. They are always so informative and inspiring.
Have a great week and celebrations with your friends and family! ❤️🇺🇸

  4. Thank you for your work on the links/tabs. Having options works for me! Enjoy your week with family!

  5. Happy birthday. I appreciate the hard work for the tabs that you did, thank you.

  7. Happy Birthday to you and your sis🎉🎂🌷

Loved all the great ideas today. I just had two beautiful chairs delivered for my living room and they are very close to the blue of the sofa in the Bay Area Bungalow. So pretty😍

Have an amazing week with family and a safe4th🇺🇸
