Post You May Have Missed This Week:

This past week I posted about going house hunting and held a giveaway for one reader to win 3 decorating books.

I wish I could give the books to all of you who entered, but I only have one of each.

Congratulations to the winner of the books who was randomly selected: Paula(acricket). I will contact you via email to get your mailing address. :-)

Upcoming this week I am excited to post about what I did to my master bath and a second post about how I found the inspiration to declutter my clothes and closet. It makes me happy to see both rooms clean, fresh and done just in my own style.

Now onto the links I found for you this week.

Decorating

I would love to tour this house in person.

I LOVE every home this architect designs and have shared a few with you before.

This designer’s portfolio shows off her colorful and eclectic style.

DIY

I love this repurposing idea using a metal file cabinet. Brilliant!

If you have any plastic or resin outdoor furniture that is looking faded, here is one way to give them new life.

This small DIY house built in the 1970’s just got a new life. (NYT gift article)

I do this every morning, now I have a name for it. It feels great.

These two have skills with dough – Wow!

Diane– Thank you for sharing what you are finding online. I like that you always balance the topics — dreamy stuff like the mostly white house on the water, the English tree house, the home in Edgartown, with practical tips like using Amazon Outlet (I ordered a pair of shoes today) and movie recommendation (I watched The Idea of You last night and LOVED it because it doesn’t follow the usual rom-com formula). Have a great week. Won’t it be wonderful when you have your twin close by?!

Hi Barbara – Sorry for the delay in responding to you. Yes I am very excited for my sister to live close by. I still can’t believe she and her family are making it happen. Thanks for the move recommendation as I have been having a hard time trying to find good ones to watch. I think now that I have my bathroom makeover done, I can relax and will watch The Idea of You tonight. :-)

  2. Thank you so much for answering questions regarding WFPB in your last post. Hope your spring is going well. I look forward to more great posts.

You are welcome Nancy. I hope life is going OK for you too. Spring seems to have turned into summer around my neck of the woods. :-)

  3. Diane,
So many great links! Loved them all. ? Does that Raspberry polish leave a light pink tint to your nails?

    1. Diane Henkler says:

Hi June – The Raspberry polish is buildable. One coat is pretty clear with a tint of pink. When you add a second coat the pink color becomes darker, but still transparent. A third coat adds a more opaque pink color.
